Simple Flight Settings
Waypoint flight: It is possible to individually set the waypoints where the drones will fly and the aircraft actions at each waypoint.

Area scan: It is possible to automatically generate flight routes to comprehensively capture images/videos by designating a specific area (e.g., solar power plant inspections or measurements).

Centralized Management of Flight Plans and Results Data
The flight log data of the drones is automatically saved to a server. Therefore, it is possible to check this data from the flight results screen. In addition, it is possible to link data that was previously difficult to manage collectively because of its large volume to flight results and to then save and centrally manage it by updating the captured data on the screen. Aggregation of the information necessary for drone-related operations is possible. This makes operational management simple. The saved image data can then be linked with applications specialized to other operations.

Enhanced and Extended Functions
SENSYN FLIGHT CORE is equipped with enhanced and extended functions essential in the automation of operations. We have released an inspection package capable of automating the whole inspection process from filming solar power panels using drones with automatic navigation function and identifying abnormal spots (hot spots) with image recognition and analysis using deep learning, to reporting inspection results. We provide a service that allows inspection work to be performed with greater accuracy and in a shorter time compared to the traditional manual inspection.

1. Significantly shorter inspection time

Using drones with automatic navigation to quickly film solar panels that until now must be checked one by one manually. To inspect 2MW manually usually take about 4 days. However, this service can complete the inspection in just about 15 minutes.

2. Accuracy in detecting hot spots

Hot spots are sometimes overlooked in manual inspections. However, the accuracy of detecting abnomalities improves with this service since the drones film solar panels while conforming to the panel angle. This service is also useful in terrains that are difficult to inspect manually.

Until now, panel inspection using drones required external operators, which limited the frequency of the inspection. By simplifying and automating drone operation, this service makes it possible to carry out inspection frequently even with the inspection staff who do not have any special technical know-how. Fully Automated Drone System to Photograph and Report on Telecommunication Tower Inspections.

It is possible to automatically generate optimal flight routes for each tower to be inspected and to perform high-quality inspection work that does not rely on the proficiency level of the drone operation. In addition, it is possible to achieve overwhelming cost savings. This is done by providing an inspection process which automatically generates 3D models of the towers based on the data captured with automatic navigation and then automatically detects rust/corrosion with our unique algorithm.

Service Features

1. Automatic Capture with Automatic Drone Navigation

TOWER CHECK automatically prepares a 3D flight route with simple settings in two steps by utilizing GCS* that has parameters specialized for tower inspection work. This makes it possible capture in automatic navigation just with input in two steps (center point determination and tower information) in a wizard format for which complicated flight route setting work was required in the past by manually inputting parameters for 10 items more . The tower to be inspected is captured all over with the equipped cameras while the drone performs automatic navigation in line with the set route (patent pending). This realizes inspections with a high level of reproducibility without being affected by the competency of the worker.

GCS:   This is the abbreviation for ground control system. This is a system to automatically control drones from the ground.

2. Automatic Abnormality Detection and Proximity Vision Support Function

TOWER CHECK automatically detects points where rust or corrosion have occurred by analyzing images captured with drones. Our unique engine that applies AI/Deep Learning perceives the characteristics of the rust or corrosion to extract the location where these have occurred. It is possible to perform inspections at the same level as proximity vision. This is achieved by confirming the images linked to 3D modeling against the abnormalities (e.g., looseness in bolts). The user can also perform this detection work.

3. Automatic Generation of Reporting

The automatic detection results of rust/corrosion are managed in the cloud. They are then automatically plotted as points where abnormalities have occurred with 3D modeling to prepare a report. Even more detailed and effective reporting is possible by the user also combining this with the visual inspection results.

Automatic Detection and Image Analysis

TOWER CHECK offers highly accurate rust and corrosion detection with our unique image analysis engine that applies AI/Deep Learning developed by the Research Institute of Systems Planning, Inc. (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo / President: Hitoshi Kadowaki). The unique technology of ISP achieves the techniques of Deep Learning with small amounts of learned data despite the fact this normally requires large amounts of learned data. It can be started without waiting for the accumulation of data. This improves the performance of abnormality detection in short cycles according to the accumulation of inspection data.

We provide an automatic navigation setting course for towers using SENSYN FLIGHT CORE*1 as initial preparation. Our staff offers support when performing inspection work for the first time. The user will then perform this work from the second time onward.
